The Ragdoll is one of the largest domesticated cat breeds, with a sturdy body, large frame, and proportionate legs. A fully-grown female weighs from 8 to 15 pounds (3.6 to 6.8 kg). Males are substantially larger, ranging from 12 to 20 pounds (5.4 to 9.1 kg) or more. The genes for point coloration are responsible for the distinctive blue eyes of the Ragdoll. More intense shades of blue are favored in cat shows. Although the breed has a plush coat, it consists mainly of long guard hairs, while the lack of dense undercoat results, according to the Cat Fanciers' Association, in "reduced shedding and matting".Ragdolls come in six different colors: red, seal, chocolate and the corresponding "dilutes", including blue, lilac, and cream. This also includes the lynx and tortoiseshell variations in all colors and the three patterns. Ragdoll kittens are born white; they have good color at 8–10 weeks and full color and coat at 3–4 years.

Once you purchase a kitten from us, you are now part of the Mountain Hollow family and can contact us with any questions you may have regarding your kitten as he/she grows. We have a genuine love for our kittens that we breed and all our kittens are raised in a special kitten room attached to the house so they are well-socialised and ready for their new family. Many of our kittens have been sold as therapy cats for children and adults with special needs due to the temperament of the breed and being well socialised from birth. We also include a kitten pack, with items that we use in our home, to help the kitten with the transition to their new home. This includes a 2kg bag of Royal Canin Kitten food, Royal Canin wet food, Food bowl, kitty litter tray and sample bag of biodegradable wood-based kitty litter and a range of toys. Continuing to use the products that the kitten is used to will help them settle into their new home much faster. I have been Registered with CatsNSW now since 2016.I love Showing and Educating people about the Ragdoll Breed since 2010, I also occasionally allow my girls to have a litter. My kittens have been proof of beautiful and healthy parents, with the traditional Ragdoll traits including; big BLUE eyes & purrfect loving temperaments. I am a devoted Ragdoll Lover registered with Cats NSW, all breeding line cats are DNA tested for HCM & PKD. We also qualified as a "Cattery Of Excellence" with Australian National Cat Alliance - ANCATS when I was originally Registered with them for 6 years before moving to CatsNSW. Our kittens are raised in our home with their mum. Which means they are handled and accustomed to household noises, my husband and I and my entire family who visit, not to mention having our other pets which include our loving dog (who lives outside, but come in when there is a storm) who just loves all our cats when he is allowed inside after a bath :). We raise all our kittens in our house as part of our family, and each one is loved before and after they are born, and handed over to their new family to carry on what we start. Because of this we carefully plan each and every litter, and breed for looks and personalities that are typical of the Ragdoll breed and what our families are looking for. Because we are located in Hervey Bay we offer FREE delivery to Brisbane and surrounds, and this includes delivery to Brisbane Airport for the babies who fly to their new homes. Can you demonstrate your knowledge of any required DNA or other health related test results concerning your breed (if applicable). Yes All breeding cats cleared either by parentage or individual testing for HCM and PKD. I retire my girls relatively young and keep a daughter to carry on from. My queens are also health checked when their litters have their vaccination, microchip and desex. I attempt to have a litter from my girls approx 9 months apart, resulting in approx 3 litters in 2 years, which is lower than the max of my breeding organisationQuestion. Do you ensure that your kittens are appropriately socialised? Please provide details about how you raise your kittens to ensure that their environmental and social needs are met, that they are suitable as pets. And, do you ensure that the new family understands and is equipped to continue this socialisation? Yes my kittens are raised inside until approx 4 weeks old, then moved on to the patio off the dining room. There they see and hear all goings on in the house. I also have 2 small grandchildren who play with the kittens. Once kittens are vaccinated, litters are permitted to mingleQuestion. What written information about the conditions of sale, warranty, and information concerning the care and maintenance of the breed do you provide? Yes all kittens leave me desexed, microchipped and vaccinated twice, unless to a fellow registered breeder who also does this. I maintain contact with my buyers ensuring a smooth transition into their new homes. I provide an information booklet, with how their kitten has been raised, litter, food etc to help that as well.
