Belarley British Shorthair

My name is Suzy, and I am a registered breeder of the gorgeous British Shorthair. We are life members of The Governing Council of the Cat Fancy, annual members of The Feline Association and registered with DCMB. We have bred some super kittens, and a few have gone on to do well on the show bench in several states and overseas.

I take a great deal of pride in my breeding program, studying lines/pedigrees. I was fortunate enough to have a fantastic mentor (now retired) who taught me all I needed and set me on the right path with my future breeding.

Fredda Benham of Delden Cattery SA was kind enough to let me have a mating with her boy, ACF AoE GOLD DB GD CH Delden Tom Thumb, and allowed me to have a gorgeous girl she bred, Delden Na Lani. Although Tom and Lani have long passed and are now at the rainbow bridge, their lines live on through their children & grandchildren that I have.

We are based in the Southern Adelaide Hills of South Australia close to Clarendon. Although we choose not to show our cats (being busy with our young children & family commitments), all of our cats come from highly achieving champion-winning bloodlines that have proven themselves on the show bench over many, many years.

I take a great deal of pride in my cats and will only breed from cats that I believe will improve on their parents.
